DirecTV is offering 50,000 American AAdvantage miles for new signups on 24 month agreements for ‘select’ packages or above.
The biggest offer I’ve ever seen before was 30,000 United miles.
With a little bit of effort service can be cancelled and re-upped earning miles multiple times especially when you cycle the names of household members your service is under. If you’re going to have TV anyway, you might as well get lots of miles for it.
Some have swapped accounts with others in their household for years. Count the number of people in your household and multiply out the miles you can earn — signing up, consider paying a $20 per month cancellation charge for remaining time in your 24 month agreement after the miles post, then having the next person in your family sign up.
Through May 20 pricing for a select package is listed at $90 per month locked-in for a year including “monthly fees for a Genie HD DVR + three (3) add’l receivers, and standard prof’l installation in up to four rooms” plus “taxes, $19.95 handling & delivery fee” and other bogus add-ons you can expect from a tv provider and from their regulators. After a year package pricing reverts to DirecTV standard pricing.

The offer is for new customers who haven’t had DirecTV service in their name in the past two years. Miles won’t post for about four months. Sign up by phone and provide your AAdvantage number when doing so.
