Majority of the festivals take place at one of the three main destinations: Tisno on the island of Murter, Novalja on the island of Pag, and Pula in Istria. Other destinations featuring one major festival a year are Split (Ultra Europe), Rovinj (Unknown Festival), and Zagreb (INmusic Festival).

INmusic Festival
When: June, 23 – June, 25 2014
Where: Zagreb, Croatia
Short description: INmusic Festival is the oldest open-air festival in Croatia. It has a good line up and mix artists – rock, dance and more. It takes place on the Island of Youth, at Zagreb’s lake Jarun. Line up 2014 includes names like: The Pixies, MGMT, The Black Keys, etc.
Hideout Festival
When: June, 30 – July, 03 2014
Where: Novalja, Island of Pag, Croatia
Short description: Hideout Festival is already in its 4th edition, and the line up 2014 looks great: Disclosure, Rudimental, Loco Dice, Sasha, Solomun and many more. The event will take place at the famous Zrce Beach clubs: Papaya, Aquarius and Kalypso. And, of course, beside these venues, there will be lots of boat parties throughout the festival.

Garden Festival
When: July, 02 – July, 09 2014
Where: Tisno, Island of Murter, Croatia
Short description: Garden festival is Croatia’s oldest dance festival. And this year, it will celebrate its 9th edition. This is a week of music and partying, so line up is quite long. Don’t forget what makes Garden festival so popular: three stages (including a beach stage), great boat parties, and after party Barbarella Discotheque.
Electric Elephant
When: July, 10 – July, 14 2014
Where: Tisno, Island of Murter, Croatia
Short description: Held at the same venue as Garden Festival, and just after it, Electric Elephant is organised by UK DJs and Unabombers promoters. The festival promotes a wide range of electronic music: techno, reggae, dubstep, hip-hop, drum and bass, house. Boat parties are very popular.
Ultra Europe
When: July, 11 – July, 13 2014
Where: Split, Croatia
Short description: Ultra Europe is probably the largest music festival held in Croatia. This is the second year in a row that the festival will take place in Split. Phase 1 line up has been announced, however the full line up is yet to be announced. Check regularly Ultra Europe website.

Seasplash Festival
When: July, 17 – July, 21 2014
Where: Pula, Croatia
Short description: Seasplash takes place in Pula, and it’s already in its 14th year. It brings together different music genres: drum ‘n’ bass, ska, reggae, jungle, electro, dubstep, etc.
Soundwave Croatia
When: July, 17 – July, 21 2014
Where: Tisno, Island of Murter, Croatia
Short description: Promoted as intimate festival with “only” 3.000 attendees, Soundwave festival 2014 line up includes reggae band Fat Freddy’s Drop, hip hop DJ Madlib & Mr Scruff, Gold Panda, Huey Morgan and many, many more.
Fresh Island Festival
When: July, 23 – July, 25 2014
Where: Novalja, Island of Pag, Croatia
Short description: Fresh Island Festival takes place for the third time on the Zrce beach at Papaya and Aquarius clubs. Full 2014 line up hasn’t been announced yet, but the world famous Blunt Brothers: Method Man & Redman have been confirmed.

SuncéBeat

Short description: This week long festival, held in Tisno, is already in its fifth edition. The line-up for 2014′s SunceBeat has yet to be announced. The festival is set at the hilly area overlooking private sandy beach. Another hit from the festival are its infamous boat parties.
Stop Making Sense

Short description: Stop Making Sense is a music and dance festival. It offers four full days of music and partying on three main locations: Tisno, Barbarella’s open air club, and boats.
Sonus Festival
When: August, 18 – August, 22 2014
Where: Novalja, Island of Pag, Croatia
Short description: Sonus Festival is, along with Unknown Festival, the newest festival in Croatia. This year will be its second edition. Line up 2014 features more than 50 artists, including Chris Liebing, Dixon, Jamie Jones, Loco Dice. The festival is taking place at famous Zrce Beach and beside the main festival venues, many boast parties are planned as well.

Dimensions Festival
When: August, 27 – August, 31 2014
Where: Pula, Croatia
Short description: This festival is promoted by the same people behind bigger and somehow more famous Outlook festival. This underground electronic music festival takes place in the abandoned fort at the outskirts of Pula. Initial 2014 line up includes Jon Hopkins, Roy Ayers, MoodyMann, etc. Opening concert (Caribou and Darkside) on 27th takes place in Pula’s Amphitheater.
Outlook Festival

Where: Pula, Croatia
Short description: Outlook festival is described as “the largest Bass music and Soundsystem Culture festival in Europe”. It takes place at the outskirts of Pula. This will be its 7th editionl. Lauryn Hill will open the festival with the live performance in Pula’s Amphitheater. Initial line up 2014 includes Busta Rhymes, Barrington Levy, DJ Premier, and many, many more.
