Amoret Apartments

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Fifteen antique-furnished apartments (sleeping 2-4) in 4 former
palaces dotted throughout Dubrovnik’s splendid UNESCO-listed
Old Town

Dubrovnik has to be one of the world’s most magnificent
fortified cities. Sitting snugly within 2km of medieval walls, the
Old Town presides over the deep blue waters of the Adriatic Sea.
Once the capital of the wealthy Republic of Ragusa (1358-1808),
during its 16th-century heyday it had one of the largest merchant
naval fleets in the world. Today it’s a UNESCO world-heritage
site and Croatia’s most expensive destination.

Within the city walls, you’ll find the Amoret Apartments
occupying elegant 16th-century stone buildings at 4 separate
locations: Amoret 2 is near the Jesuit monastery, Amorets 1, 3 and
4 are close to the Cathedral. Each apartment is furnished
with antiques and decorated with contemporary paintings inspired by
the city. Owner Branka Dabroviæ and her husband Ivica (ex
national water-polo player) are remarkably kind and helpful. They
meet guests on arrival and help them to their lodgings, and give
local advice regarding sightseeing, restaurants and excursions.

  • Private self-catering apartments located in elegant
16th-century buildings that make you feel as if you really live

    ambiance; immaculately kept accommodation
  • Extremely kind and helpful owner/manager will do everything to

  • Kitchenettes are basic and bathrooms are compact – some showers
are hand-held and there are no bathtubs
  • None of the apartments have balconies, although Amoret 2 has a
    communal terrace
  • You have to pay to park outside the pedestrian-only Old Town,
then carry your luggage approx 200m to the apartments (Branka and
her husband will help if necessary)
